ITALY: Panforte di Siena
The dessert contains candied fruit, dried fruit and a mixture of sugars, honey and spices. It can be classified as a ‘white type’ if the topping is caster sugar, or ‘dark type’ if the topping is made using spices.
The product can be made anywhere in the province of Siena.
