Could it be you? BakeryandSnacks seeks new editor

Have you got what it takes to lead a global online B2B publication in the $600bn bakery, snacks and cereals market?

BakeryandSnacks, the leading global trade publication for manufacturers in the bakery, snacks and cereal is seeking a new editor to take it to the next level.

From the meteoric rise of snacking to the boom in gluten-free and rising concerns around salt and fat; we’re looking for someone with flair and ambition to dig up exclusives with rich and engaging multi-media content, from videos and voiceovers to podcasts and galleries.

You’ll be covering some of the biggest names in the food industry including Grupo Bimbo, PepsiCo and Kellogg and writing about regulations, science and trends affecting global brands. As the face of the brand, you’ll also be expected to organize and speak at face-to-face and online events.

Based in UK headquarters

The role is based at William Reed Business Media’s headquarters in Crawley, UK and salary is dependent on experience. There’s plenty international travel including frequent visits to continental Europe, the US and Asia, so expect to be traveling the globe at least six times a year.

Our publication is solely online and reaches over 50,000 unique visitors a month with a Twitter following of more than 2,200 and a strong positioning on Facebook and LinkedIn.

We’re ideally looking for an experienced editor with knowledge of the baking and snacks sector, but are open to younger, ambitious journalists with a minimum of three years of experience hoping to take on additional responsibilities.

You’ll be part of William Reed Business Media’s Food Editorial Verticals team that comprises BakeryandSnacks.com, ConfectioneryNews, DairyReporter and BeverageDaily.

The chosen candidate will be expected to contribute and manage daily content to the site with support from journalists in Chicago, US and Montpellier, France.

Please apply only if you are fluent in English and have the right to work in the UK.

C.V. and cover letters can be sent to: oliver.nieburg@wrbm.com and samantha.cloke@wrbm.com

The deadline for applications is: Friday 5 September

We look forward to hearing from you,

Oliver Nieburg, Head of Food Editorial Verticals (Montpellier, France)
